UK Elite Soccer Camp

This summer Megan attended a soccer camp that is run by coaches from the UK. She had a great time and it was an amazing opportunity for her to learn and practice some new soccer skills. The coaches stay with host families and since a few of them were hosted by my cousins, they were able to join us on a couple of our camping trips. It was quite fun seeing them camp for the first time :-) Hey, when in the northwest, do as the northwesterners do, right??? Here are a few pictures from camp...

As I watched Megan play her first games this past weekend, I could definitely see an improved level of skill in her soccer abilities. The UK Elite coaches definitely love their sport and their little players and I think that makes a strong impact! We are hoping for a great soccer season this year...well, as great as it gets with Pee Wee soccer :-)

Back to It!

I'm so far behind in blogging that I have no idea where to start, so I'm going with the events that have the fewest photos and can just be posted as is!! We had a very busy summer with lots of camping, visiting with family, and home improvement projects. The kids are growing constantly, keeping us running, and overall doing very well! Megan is back in school now, first grade, and so far is enjoying the experience and her teacher! Here are a couple of pictures...

I can tell this is going to be a successful year and I'm very excited for Megan! Her teacher seems very nice and even more, she has a sister who has 26 year old triplets! What are the chances of that??

Well, like I said, I'm very far behind in blogging so you will be seeing some random things pop up over the next week or so. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the changing of the seasons! This is such a great time of year!

Seattle and the Primacks

On Sunday we drove into Seattle to have breakfast with my Aunt Liisa and Uncle Andy and their friends. They had a stop over here on their way to the San Juans for an island biking trip. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Ruth's Chris and then walked the couple of blocks down to Pike Place. Luckily Molly is still small enough to be carried and Andrew and Hailey took turns in the one single stroller that we happened to have in the van. It was a gorgeous day to be in Seattle and we had a great time. Megan even scored a new tie dye dress, thanks to Uncle Andy :-) and some beautiful flowers from her daddy!

Fun Times in July

July was quite the busy month for us...4th of July, camping, parks! We kept on the move for sure. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to. We celebrated the 4th by taking the kids to the parade in Enumclaw and then just had a quiet day at home. Megan, Tim, and I enjoyed watching and lighting off fireworks right here in our neighborhood with everyone. We also found a great park to take the kids to and I was able to get some good pictures the other day when I went with the little ones and my nephew Jake. Megan attended 2 soccer camps, which I'll do a seperate post for, and has kept busy swimming, playing with friends, and sharpening her reading skills. We also visited with some friends in West Seattle and played for a bit at Alki Beach. Just another way to try and escape the heat!!! Other than that, we are just doing our best to keep an almost 6 year old and 3 two year olds busy and entertained! August should be another fun filled month before we head back into the school year :-)

Cape Disappointment

I know, I've been lazy with my blogging! But I'm getting back to it! A couple of weekends ago we went on our first family camping trip. It was quite successful, I must say, although the nights were a bit rough. But, after a few more tries I'm sure the kiddos will get the hang of it. Megan had an absolute blast hanging out with her cousins, aunties, uncles, grammy, grampy, you name it!! The little ones had a great time just playing, getting dirty, and finding all sorts of adventures to enjoy! Cape Disappointment State Park is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I cannot wait to go back. Sandy beaches, beautiful landscape, and camping sites with privacy, shade, and lots of room. It was perfect! Even the drive was scenic, including the bridge just outside of Astoria, OR, over the Columbia River and into WA. Amazing! Hope you enjoy a brief look at our trip, as I had to choose 50 pictures out of over 200!!!

Molly's First Haircut

Well, Molly finally got to experience her first haircut. After 2 years and 4 months, it was about time! She did so great and I was so proud of her! Of course, she didn't leave the little clippy in very long, but that's okay. Now we just have to work on getting those sides to grow :-)
