Miracle McCanns

I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported our team, Miracle McCanns, for the March of Dimes March for Babies. We are gearing up for the walk this Sunday and I'm so excited that our efforts have taken us beyond our fundraising goal and we have been blessed with over 20 walkers!! It's definitely a team effort and we are so grateful!

More Sprouts and Fun With the Camera

I'm seeing more sprouts everyday, which is very exciting. I got out and planted strawberries yesterday...hopefully they take to the ground and bring us lots of yummy berries this summer! The kids have been enjoying this great weather and I couldn't help but take some pictures! Enjoy!

Just some fun with the camera...these tulips actually belonged to my great-grandma who passed way in 2000. I have carried the bulbs from house to house as we moved.

Not much else is happening around the McCann home. We are gearing up for our March for Babies walk next weekend. We are only $50 from our goal and I'm so grateful to all the walkers and sponsors who helped us get there!

The kids are healthy and running me crazy everyday, and I keep reminding myself of how blessed I am to be out of energy and dog-tired at the end of each day! My children are the truest gifts a mommy can receive and without them....I'd be lost! I'm looking forward to our summer days when Megan will be home and we can just play, play, play!

Ahhh, Spring!

I love sunshine, warmth, and the opportunity they both bring for gardening! I couldn't help myself over the beautiful weekend and I had to plant something. I'm trying something new this year and trying to grow from seeds...I've done peas, beans, and carrots in the past, but this year I planted radishes, spinach, carrots, peas and lettuce. I tried a winter crop from seeds but it got too cold too soon, so they didn't really grow! Hopefully I will have luck with this go around!

The stringed area contains the radish, spinach and carrot seeds. The tomato cages are for the peas and the area to the right with sticks in the ground, that's where the lettuce is. I'm also going for a more decorative look this year, planting in circles. I always gotta change things up, otherwise I would get bored!!

I hope the snow in the forecast for next week is a big, fat joke!

On Monday the kids and I, along with our friends Brooke and Laurie headed to the Children's Museum. We met up with two friends from the NICU, Heidi and Shaune, and had a great time playing and enjoying the beautiful weather! It was a great day to be in Seattle and kids had a fun time. Poor Molly was a bit under the weather, but I think she still enjoyed it some. I can't wait to go back again. We bought a membership so we will definitely put it to use! And I'm always looking for extra hands to join us....

Spring Music Program

Last week Tim and I enjoyed quite the show at Megan's school for their spring music program. It was so amazing to see the little pre Ks and Kinders showing off their talents for the audience! And what a treat it was for us to get to sit and enjoy some Megan time without little kiddos in tow! Thanks Mom! And, as was the tradition when I was a kid, we hit the local DQ afterwards with our friends, the Gelinases!

The kids were taught many signs for the songs they sang and it was wonderful to see them communicating both with their voices and their hands.

The program also included a movement piece put together by the PE teacher, which was really fun to watch. Megan was a "scarf juggler". Of course, now she wants to go to the circus and see the clowns juggle. In fact, she asked me last night when I juggled in the circus...I wanted to answer that I'm at the circus everyday, but I don't think she would have understood my sarcasm :-)
