Hailey's First Haircut

A couple of weeks ago we took Hailey to get her first haircut. She's been needing one for a while, and I'm happy to report that she did a great job! We are very blessed so far with kids and haircuts. We are 3 for 3. Megan, Andrew, and Hailey have all been perfect angels for the big event.

She looks very cute with her little haircut, and it's nice to see her eyes without having to brush aside the bangs!

Children's Museum

My aunt came into town last week and I decided it was time to get out and have some fun. Staying home hasn't kept us all from getting sick, so why not?? We went to the Children's Museum in Seattle and had the best time. Me, my aunt, and older sister took the kids and met up with my friend Leandra, her 3 kids, and her mom and grandma. I think this was the happiest I'd seen Andrew in a long time. He was definitely in his element. Hailey took the longest to warm up, but when she did, she had a great time. Molly, of course, is always up for a good time and Megan enjoyed spending time with her friend Isabella, who she doesn't get to see very often now that we don't live across the street! Overall, the day was so much fun and we can't wait to go back!

On a side not, I'm not sure what the deal is with Photobucket, but this seems to be the new size of the pictures. I'll work on figuring out why they are smaller than before!

Valentine's Party

Well, I just couldn't let Megan's first Valentine's party pass without some photos, so I packed up the little ones and off we went. I stopped and grabbed some McDs for their lunch and they sat very nicely eating and taking in the sights of 20+ 5-6 year olds opening valentine's cards. It was quite entertaining and I have to say, Hailey truly enjoyed mingling with all the kids. She pretty much thought she was all that and a cup o' tea! Given the fact that it was well into the little ones' naptime, I'd say they did really well and I'm proud of myself for taking on the challenge. Not to mention, I think it meant the world to Megan that we were there :-)

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day, but with my children, I find it is worth playing it up a bit!

Trouble

This is what happens when I turn my back for just a minute...

They literally had taken every ziploc out of the boxes and pulled about 3 feet of plastic wrap out. That's what I get for turnin' my back when the trouble makers are on the loose...I never knew toddlers could be so fast, I guess they have the triple factor going for them!

Big Kids

So, I've taken on the task of trying to teach the little ones how to eat at the table and use plates and utensils. Sometimes it goes well, other times I feel like it's uselss. Here they are, trying to be "big kids."

We still have a ways to go, but they are getting the hang of it!

More January Fun

Well, here's another hodge-podge collection of pictures from the last couple of weeks. Obviously, I take way too many pictures. Otherwise, I wouldn't have to have a slideshow for every post!

A couple of Sundays ago we met up for a late lunch/early dinner with my sister Sarah, her boyfriend Jon, and their kids McKenna, Kyle, and Jake. It was the first time we'd been to a restaurant with the whole family since November. They came over afterwards to hang out for a bit. Uncle Matt and Jackson also stopped by and joined in on the fun.

The next week, Molly and I headed up to Children's for her regular follow-up with her pulmonologist and dietician, and we had a nice time visiting with some friends (who were our NICU nurses that become wonderful friends). I always try to meet up with as many of them as possible, as we don't make our way up to Seattle that often. It was great seeing everyone!

As much as January was better than December, I have to say, I'm looking forward to getting through February and moving on to spring! Stay tuned in the next few weeks for our big March for Babies kick-off. We will be forming our own family team this year and inviting anyone who is interested to walk with us on that special day!
