Pilgrims and Pie

Megan had a fun program at school today and Tim and I were both able to attend. She was so cute dressed in her pilgrim outfit and I have to say, Kindergartners and Pre-1st graders can sing much louder than my 3rd and 4th graders ever did. After the program we enjoyed some pumpkin and apple pie. What a great way to start the Thanskgiving celebrations!

Visit with Friends

Last night we had our friends from the NICU Shaune, Erin, and Erin's husband Jamie down for a visit. We enjoyed some soup and just had a nice time hanging out. It had a been a while since they last saw the little ones, so I'm sure they got a kick out of their "activeness".

Pink Cupcakes

A while back Megan got a new book called Pinkalicious. It's a really cute story about a little girl who makes pink cupcakes with her mom and then eats too many. She turns pink, then red, and finally has to eat only green things to return to normal. Well, ever since reading that story Megan and I have been planning to make pink cupcakes. We were fortunate enough to have our friend Tricia help us out with the decorating.

Nobody turned pink, but we did enjoy the cupcakes!

Birthday Banner

Megan had a homework assignment that required her to make a banner decorated with things that started with B. Well, we improvised and made a birthday banner for my sister Sarah, aka Auntie Sarah, and all 4 kids "decorated" a piece of the banner.

Small Request

Well, I must have too much time on my hands (did I really just say that?), because I've been reflecting a lot on the last year and a half and looking at my children and what all 4 of them have been through. I'm realizng how much they have taught me to believe in people and to always have faith. So I'd like to make a simple request to anyone who has children, nieces or nephews, grandchildren, or is involved with kids in any way.

Always have faith in the children you love. We do not determine what they are capable of knowing, understanding, accomplishing, or overcoming! Our job is simply to nurture them and foster an enviroment that allows them to become whatever their full potential is. No matter how big or small, we have to believe that they are capable of more than we ever imagined possible!

I have four beautiful children to remind me of this everyday, and I am so thankful for their unfailing love, contagious joy, and constant energy that keeps me going from one day to the next!

Fall Fun

Father Daughter Dance

This past weekend Megan and Tim attended the Father Daughter Dance for her school. They had a great time hanging out together, dancing, and enjoying dessert at Mama Stortini's afterwards. Megan really enjoyed getting all dressed up and going on a date with her daddy! And the best part??? They even brought me home my favorite treat in the whole world...Italian Cheesecake from Mama's!
